Program 4 of 7
Financial Education
Confidence with money changes what a family can plan for.
Our objective
Improve financial literacy among rural women and communities to help them make informed, sustainable financial decisions.
Why it matters
The Financial Education program helps women understand and manage their finances effectively. This matters most in rural Uganda, where many women have had little chance to learn how to save, invest and make smart financial decisions.
What the program covers
-
Budgeting and savings
Women learn to create and stick to a budget, track expenses and save for both short-term and long-term goals. These skills are essential for household financial stability and independence.
-
Credit management
We teach women to manage loans and credit responsibly: understanding interest rates and repayment schedules, and avoiding debt traps.
-
Investment and asset building
Training on how to invest wisely, whether in small businesses, agricultural ventures or savings products, and on building assets that give a family lasting financial security.
-
Insurance and risk management
We help women understand how to protect themselves against unexpected hardship through insurance and risk management, which can include health, life and crop insurance.
Come and be part of it.
Whether you are a woman ready to start saving or an organization ready to partner, we would love to hear from you.
